Do not disturb an active scene. Cleanup follows law-enforcement or responsible-authority release.
Preserve what remains relevant
The cleanup scope should not discard property or materials outside the authorized work area without the owner or responsible party's direction.
Document the work
Photographs, affected-area notes and disposal records can support the property recovery file.
Return to normal property recovery
Once contamination is controlled, conventional repair, odor and reconstruction work can proceed as a separate phase.
