Why fire changes drying

Routine high-velocity air movement can redistribute soot and particulate. Drying strategy should account for contamination control and filtration.

Fire can open cavities, damage finishes and change material permeability; suppression water can penetrate far beyond the burn footprint.

Drying completion does not establish that a fire-affected assembly is clean, odor-free or structurally serviceable.
